The adored little amusement park in Carver, MA known as Edaville has been going through a lot of growth. Edaville USA also became home to Thomas Land last summer. Thomas Land has its own separate piece of the park dedicated to Thomas & Friends. My family was lucky enough last year to attend the Grand Opening of Thomas Land. Sadly not everything was finished yet but I assure you it has become something wonderful.
You will notice the first big changes to the park right upon arrival. You will be greeted by an adorable Dickens Village. It is not fully completed yet but it already looks amazing. My favorite part of the new village is the window displays. If you have a second pop into guest relations so you can see all the Edaville Railroad memorabilia and pictures. I cant wait to see how magical they will become at Christmastime.
I now have an 11, 10 and 8 year old. We have gone to Edaville every year since they were born. It has always been a tradition for us at Christmastime. The park is really for smaller children but it does still have some bigger rides like the Scrambler, Bumper Cars and the Tilt-A- Whirl. However, keep in mind it is designed for parents to ride along with their children. It was really sad to realize that this is the last year my kids will be able to ride the Red Baron. They are too tall. I have to admit I had myself a moment at the park. Letting go of their childhood is way hard.
We rode man of our usual rides and walked through Dino Land but we made a bee line to Thomas Land because I couldn't wait to ride the Winston Skyline Express. It wasn't finished yet last year. I was like a little kid in a candy store. It offers a chance for park go-ers to rest, take in a great view of the park all while being in the shade.
You especially get a great view of he adorable Troublesome Trucks coaster. Perfect for any kids first coaster and still fun for the bigger kids.

My kids may be bigger in size but they are still younger kids at heart. They played in the new Sodor Play Space for hours. Its a really fun indoor play space with the usual ball pit and slides but it also has some crazy spinning thing-a ma-bob that kids can hold on to. No thanks for me.

After spinning, spinning and more spinning. Why do all rides needs to spin? We ended the day with riding the bumper cars. You are just never too grown for bumper cars. Never ever. Regan's face says it all.

There is a lot more to come in the next couple of years at Edaville. We are waiting very patiently for the Pirate Ride to be finished! Fall in New England is the BEST time to visit Edaville. We have so many wonderful memories there. Take your little ones before they are too big.
